Lambeth Conference:

July 16 - August 3

The Lambeth Conference is one of the global Anglican Communion's Instruments of Communion It takes place every ten years at the invitation of the Archbishop of Canterbury. It is the one occasion when all bishops can meet for worship, study and conversation. Archbishops, diocesan, assistant and suffragan bishops are invited. Also invited are bishops from other churches 'in communion' with the Anglican Communion, bishops from United Churches and a number of ecumenical guests
Our bishops, the Rt. Rev J. Neil Alexander and the Rt. Rev. Keith Whitmore, will be participating in the historical Lambeth Conference over the coming few weeks.   Read the Bishops Blog "A Lambeth Journal" here.

Archbishop's Reflections on Lambeth Conference 2008

The official website for the Conference can be found at http://www.lambethconference.org/index.cfm.
The Episcopal Church has published a series of inserts which we have used at St. Catherine's over the past few weeks and will continue to use throughout the conference.  http://www.episcopalchurch.org/97360_97847_ENG_HTM.htm

Each Diocese has been asked to provide a video of their life in mission and ministry to be viewed throughout the time at the Lambeth Conference.  The Diocese of Atlanta's video can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2g_cw-BDI0.  Watch closely you might see some of your fellow parishioners from St. Catherine's.
