Stewardship Gatherings Sunday, October 12 -- Dinner 5:00-7:00 pm. The Stewardship Committee invites you to
attend this last of three Stewardship Gatherings to share St. Catherine's
abundant opportunities to serve and give in support of the ministry and
outreach work which God has called us to do. Gatherings are in the
Parish Hall. Please RSVP by signing up in the foyer, checking the
Opportunity for Ministry in your bulletin, or call the church office at

2008 Habitat BuildContinuesSign up in the foyer after services each Sunday, to work one or more dates! We will be building each Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM, from Aug. 16 through Nov. 1 (except Labor Day weekend). We will also be responsible for food at the site on 8/16, 9/13, 10/11 and 10/25, as well as the dedication tentatively scheduled for 11/16. You must be at least age 16 to build, all ages may help with food. We are building a house similar to the one built last year in the same subdivision in lot #27. Catechesis of the Good ShepherdLevel OneAdult Formation Coursefor working with 3-6 year old childrenSt. Catherine's Episcopal Church in Marietta is hosting this training course on one Saturday a month, from 9:00am to 5:00pm beginning September 20, 2008 through August 15, 2009. The formation leaders will be Margaret Jourden, a formation leader for Level I since 1995, from St. John Vianney Catholic Church, and Karen Maxwell, Director of Formation for the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and member of St. Catherine's. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a formation experience for adults and children alike. This approximately 90 hour course is designed to be a spiritual formation experience and instruction. It includes at least two hours of observation in an atrium and/or a Montessori classroom in addition to the course sessions. Successful completion of the course will result in a certificate from the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Click HERE for a registration form with more information.
