Sabbatical August 1

August 1, 2014 –

Those who have been following my blog have noticed it has been silent for the time I have been on Iona. I have intended it as a time to rest and heal my body after the mental, physical and spiritual challenges of the Camino, as well as a time to reflect, read and vision. This latter inner work has led me to silence my blog activity to allow myself the space to simply be. I have been soaking up the healing landscape of this thin place between heaven and earth. It has been a tonic for my mind, body and spirit. God has placed new people in my path as companions during my time here, another tonic, and has blessed me with an anamchara (soul friend) in the company of Margie Nea. I will let the pictures speak the story of this healing time.

    Amma Susan,

Scotland is even more beautiful that I imagined. What a wonderful place to rest and heal. Can’t wait to see you. I miss your wonderful hugs.

Blessings on the remainder of your journey.

Amma Susan, How wise you were to be “wholly” (Holy!) silent and to stop blogging for a bit. I’m glad to know the reason, as I was a little concerned – you’ve been so faithful in sharing your journey with us. I think you said it earlier (maybe even before you left) and I agree, that you’ll be “unwrapping” this journey and its gifts for a long time to come.

    God’s peace, and my love,
    Margaret
