The Vice President of Human Resources will be key member of the leadership team responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining qualified employees to be significant contributors to the company’s successful growth.  The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an HR Strategy that directly ties into ASAP’s business goals and objectives.
  • Promote, teach and safeguard the corporate culture and our Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to develop and administer incentive compensation plans for the Company’s sales and recruiting personnel, and ensure proper alignment of company goals and individual compensation
  • Design companywide compensation guidelines for each role considering experience and responsibilities and update for changes in market conditions
  • Serve as the liaison to all employees and management in order to provide answers around the employee handbook, corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage communication issues and conflict resolution between employees.
  • Lead the annual employee benefit renewal process with the brokerage firm to ensure that we are receiving the best rates for the most appropriate benefits
  • Oversee and administer the annual benefits open enrollment process for our employees
  • Ensure all job descriptions are accurate and create a skills assessment and ratings system for each position.
  • Update, manage and administer the Company’s periodic performance review process
  • Proactively recruit top candidates and manage the initial screening and pre-interview process.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching for employees that need personal and professional development.
  • Play an active role in the development of our annual plan and our longer term strategic plan
  • Work with our Executive Team to develop a leadership program to nurture our future leaders.
  • Work with our managers to develop effective training programs for our various departments
  • Manage our employee recognition program and work with marketing to develop our internal communications pieces.
  • Plan and coordinate team-building activities for the company

 Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Human Resources or Organizational Development.
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive and increasingly complex HR experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the lead human resources role.
  • Prefer SPHR certification.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Confident decision-maker with strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, coaching and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong computer skills, primarily in MS Office.

The Manager of Recruiting and Human Resources is responsible for all recruitment activities and administers HR policies and procedures.  This is a great opportunity for someone with a Generalist background and a passion for recruiting!

Duties and Responsibilities

Recruiting

  • Develop and further the firm’s approach to recruitment by extending the existing model, sourcing efforts, and capabilities.  Ensure that any chosen direction and individual programs are in line with our corporate strategy, recruiting budget, client demand, and other regional HR initiatives.
  • Source, qualify, and hire experienced professionals as needed for RSI client needs and future demand.
  • Manage the recruiting process through the full recruiting and hiring lifecycle (sourcing, phone screening, on-site interviews, offer negotiations, and new hire transition).  Maintaining a funnel of qualified candidates is critical to the success of this position and ongoing candidate follow-up is required.
  • Hire, manage, support, and assist to further develop the firm’s recruiting team members.  Establish strong rapport and continue to assist the recruiting team with achieving their personal goals, both business and developmental.
  • Own, manage and improve recruitment tools such as interviewing guides, intranet and online-based resources.  Participate in any relevant HR/Recruiting associations that may assist in acquiring external best practices and expanding the recruiter’s network.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of current recruiting initiatives. Identify business trends related to recruitment and develop effective solutions to address the trends across each region.  Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on recruiting needs and effectiveness.  Ensure recruiting performance metrics are appropriate and monitored.
  • Establish and manage recruiting budgets.
  • Develop job postings and proactively manage appropriate job posting strategies for each position.
  • Partner with Center Managers and VP of Client Services to understand needs and screen for candidate capabilities accordingly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted colleges and universities within local communities in order to support hiring initiatives.  Responsible for marketing and advertising through various campus forums, building relationships with student organizations and professors, and conducting on-campus interviews with prospective students.
  • Manage communication with all applicants in the selection process and provide a weekly sourcing update.
  • Extend Employment Offers, mail New Hire/Intern Packets, conduct New Hire/Intern Orientations.

Training and Professional Development

  • Work with leadership team to establish Professional Development programs for RSI colleagues.
  • Assist with research and development of new training courses in close collaboration with VP of Client Services and Center Managers.
  • Deliver training presentations during New Hire Orientation program.
  • Assist or lead the delivery of certain internal training courses as needed.

Human Resources Administration

  • Ensure successful assimilation of all new hires to the firm.  The new hire process includes: interfacing with new hires and the Recruiting team to ensure a successful transition from the recruiting process to the new hire process, answering new employee inquiries, ensuring that all employment/orientation materials are sent to new hires in advance, processing background checks, ordering business cards, interfacing with payroll, and maintaining associated records and files.
  • Ensure successful transition of all terminating employees from the firm.  The termination process includes: coordinating with employees to formally “check-out” from the firm (benefits cancelled, expense receipts submitted, equipment returned, etc.) and resolving various termination-related issues.
  • Evaluate, select and Manage the health and benefits plans and associated relationships with these providers
  • Coordinate benefits administration for the firm, including: assist with benefits communication and maintenance of related documentation; Process enrollments and terminations for all benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, reimbursement accounts, disability, and life insurance), prepare and distribute information packets, and interface with payroll regarding premium deductions; Distribute required COBRA notifications, process COBRA payments, follow up on delinquent COBRA accounts, and maintain COBRA information in SAP.
  • Oversee the annual performance appraisal process (e.g., preparing and distributing employee annual review documentation and processing salary actions and employee notifications).
  • Develop compensation and benefits strategies that are aligned with the overall firm strategy.
  • Oversee various HR mailings (stock option mailings, quarterly 401(k) statements, open enrollment, and various employee requests).
  • Ensure that all company and HR documents are filed properly.
  • Review and update HR documents annually.  

 Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 7 years progressive Human Resources experience
  • 5 years Recruiting experience, preferably in an IT environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and balance functions of the business
  • The ability to handle and work with a high level of confidential material and information
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks and to work in a fast-paced office environment with changing priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, applicant tracking packages, and/or other HR or recruiting-related databases
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred

 Primarily responsible for promoting all church activities through the coordination, visual design, layout, editing, and production of traditional media such as weekly worship bulletins, monthly newsletters, mailings, brochures, banners, signs, and other promotional materials.  Some writing is required.  Also responsible for development of digital media such as website design and maintenance, and e-mail design and editing. 

 Experience with public relations and computers are a must, with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (CS5.5) in a PC environment at a professional level.  Knowledge of Dreamweaver preferred for website design and maintenance.  Some HTML knowledge and programming necessary for generating online forms.
